Configuring Return Types in the Merchant Redo Dashboard

The Return Types settings within your Merchant Redo Dashboard allow you to customize options and incentives for customer returns, exchanges, refunds, and store credits.

Setting Up Return Options

You can configure three primary return options:

  • Refund

  • Store Credit

  • Exchange

To modify options:

  • Click Add Option to introduce new return types

  • Click the delete icon to remove unwanted return types

Adjustments and Incentives

Adjustments can encourage or discourage certain customer actions:

  • Positive Adjustment: Adds monetary incentives for choosing a specific return option (e.g., $7.77 extra credit to encourage exchanges)

  • Negative Adjustment: Introduces a restocking fee or similar cost, discouraging customers from selecting certain return types

Adjustments can be applied as either:

  • A fixed dollar amount

  • A percentage of the order value

Advanced Options

  • Green Return: When enabled, customers aren't required to return the item. Typically used for damaged or incorrect items, improving customer satisfaction.

  • Merchant Pays for Label: Toggle this on if you'd prefer to cover the return shipping cost, commonly used for damaged or incorrect item scenarios.

Variant-Specific Return Types

  • Limit certain return types to specific product variants (e.g., allowing exchanges only for specific variants)

Utilizing these return type settings effectively ensures a streamlined, customer-friendly return experience, enhancing both satisfaction and operational efficiency.
