How to Set Up Automatic Reordering for Your Shipping Supplies
Never run out of supplies — let Redo track your inventory and reorder for you automatically.
Redo Supply can reorder your shipping supplies automatically, either on a schedule you choose or based on your real-time inventory, so you don't have to remember to restock. You also get quality supplies at better pricing — member pricing on select products and labels, with no separate vendor to manage.
Inventory-based reordering is available to merchants on Redo's OMS — since it relies on the real-time inventory data Redo's OMS already tracks for you. If you're not on Redo's OMS, you can still automate your reorders on a fixed schedule using Time-based (see below).
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to set up inventory-based reordering:
From the product you want to auto-reorder, click Add to cart, then choose Inventory-based (only shown if your store is on Redo's OMS). (Not on Redo's OMS, or prefer a fixed schedule instead? Choose Time-based — see below.)
Set your reorder amount — how much to order each time a reorder triggers, shown by case and by unit count.
Enter your current on-hand inventory — how much you have right now.
Set your reorder threshold — the inventory level that triggers your next automatic order. Once submitted a Redo Supplies consultant will review your inputs and reach out with any
Review your inputs and click Confirm.
That's it — your automatic reorder is now live. If your current inventory is already at or below your threshold, your first order will be placed right away.
Prefer a fixed schedule instead?
Choose Time-based instead of Inventory-based in step 1, then set your reorder frequency (e.g., every 2 weeks or every month) and your reorder amount. Redo will place a new order on that schedule automatically, regardless of your current stock level — useful for supplies you use at a steady, predictable rate, and available to every merchant whether or not you're on Redo's OMS.
Finding and managing your automatic reorders
Go to Supplies → Recurring purchases → Inventory-based (or Time-based) to see everything you have running.
Click into any product to view its current inventory, reorder amount, reorder threshold, location, and status — all in one place.
Click Edit configuration to change any of these settings at any time — no need to cancel and start over if your usage changes or you need to correct your count.
Tracking every order and inventory change
Scroll down on any product's page to see:
Reorder history — every automatic order placed for this product, with order number, date, quantity, fulfillment status, and whether it's been received.
Inventory change history — a full log of what changed your inventory and why, down to the individual order. If one order used a single label and another used four, you'll see exactly how much each one deducted, when, and a linked PDF and reference ID for the change.
Your automatic reorder is now set up, and you can check in on it anytime from Recurring Purchases.
